South Dakotans reject 2nd try at abortion ban

South Dakota voters once again rejected a proposed law that would have banned most abortions.

Tuesday's vote was the second time voters have weighed in on the issue in two years. The latest measure was less restrictive than a defeated 2006 measure.

The new version would have outlawed abortions but included exceptions for rape, incest and pregnancies that threaten the life or health of the woman.
