Qld: Lawyers expected to apply for bail tomorrow=2
Fountain's barrister Wayne Tolton said today his client was in the police watchhouse
and his poor health would deteriorate further if he was not granted bail.
"He's in good spirits but his health is suspect to say the least," Mr Tolton said.
Yesterday he told the Brisbane Magistrates Court that Fountain was a sick man who had
numerous medical problems including degenerative knee-joints, arthritis, spinal injury,
a central nervous syndrome disorder, stomach ulcers, bladder problems, Ross River fever,
glandular fever and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Today, Mr Tolton said Fountain needed hydrotherapy five times a week to to remain mobile.
"If he's left without mobility treatment, he'll suffer," he said.
