NSW: Industrial recycling project to save 5 billion litres a year

Recycled water from Sydney's Botany aquifer will begin flowing to nearby industrial
plants today .. as part of a state government project to save up to five billion litres
of drinking water a year.

Premier MORRIS IEMMA and Minister for Water Utilities DAVID CAMPBELL will open the
valves at Botany's industrial park in Sydney's east .. at 10.15 this morning (AEDT).

Mr IEMMA says major projects like these will boost recycled water use from 15 billion
litres to 70 billion litres by 2015.
